Aamal Energy, a subsidiary of Qatar Stock Exchange-listed Aamal Company, has signed a five-year contract with a local company to provide procurement services, Aamal said in a disclosure on Tuesday.
The contract has an initial value of more than QAR100 million. Aamal did not name the client.

Under the agreement, Aamal Energy will manage the client’s procurement of low-risk maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) commodities and consumables.
Its work will cover supplier sourcing and bid evaluation, purchase order placement, delivery coordination and order close-out, including follow-up on claims and warranties.
Aamal said the contract is an important step in developing Aamal Energy’s business and supports its strategy of expanding into sectors with long-term growth opportunities, including services for Qatar’s energy and industrial supply chains.
“This contract marks an important milestone for Aamal Energy and advances our strategy to build a broader presence in the energy and industrial services sectors,” said Rashid bin Ali Al Mansoori, Chief Executive of Aamal Company.
“Building on this experience, we aim to compete for further opportunities and pursue partnerships that strengthen local capabilities,” he said.
The company said the work would help Aamal Energy broaden its relationships with equipment manufacturers and specialist suppliers, and support collaboration with international companies seeking to expand in Qatar.
