Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia has postponed this year’s Intersec Saudi Arabia, the kingdom’s security, safety and fire protection exhibition, to October 2027, the organizer said in a statement on Monday.
The decision followed close monitoring of recent developments in Saudi Arabia, the statement said. It was taken in coordination with the venue, local government partners and the event’s local and international stakeholders.
The 2026 edition had been scheduled for November 16 to 18 at Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference. Organizers said in May that they expected more than 25,000 visitors and more than 500 exhibitors, with exhibition space up 40% from the previous edition.

“This decision is a result of a careful review of the current situation and one that puts the safety and wellbeing of customers, partners, attendees, and teams first,” said Riham Sedik, show director for Intersec Saudi Arabia at Messe Frankfurt Middle East.
“With the event only weeks away, the postponement will allow us to deliver the strongest possible experience for all participants next year,” Sedik said.
Nathan Waugh, portfolio director for security, technology and production at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said the organizer’s focus was now on returning with the event in 2027. Further updates will be shared through the show’s official channels, the statement said.
The show has run in the kingdom since 2019. Exhibitors listed for the 2026 edition included Bristol, Naffco, Saudi Sicli and Elm, organizers said in May.
The FII Institute also said on Monday that this year’s Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh had been postponed to 2027, following Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.
