Nasser bin Khalifa Al Kindi, chief executive of Invest in Oman, said 11 projects worth OMR503 million were localized in 2026. They include a OMR171 million C Anode project to make silicon-carbon anode materials and a OMR154 million project by Janan Middle East Mining.

Projects localized in 2025 were worth about OMR1.5 billion, the ministry said. They included Vulcan Green Steel’s OMR896 million green steel project, a OMR368 million anode production project by Shenzom, the OMR189 million GFCL project and Sahara Solar Energy Company’s OMR78 million project.

In 2024, OMR286 million of projects were localized, including Green Iron Alloys Company’s OMR69 million project and Orion Solar’s OMR217 million project. The United Solar Polysilicon project, worth OMR520 million, was localized in 2023.

Projects localized by the national negotiating team totaled about OMR2.7 billion. Between 2024 and 2026, the ministry targeted about 350 companies and ran more than 15 investment missions, which led to 16 projects worth about OMR2.9 billion in seven sectors being passed to its operations and negotiation team.

Ibtisam bint Ahmed Al-Farouji, the ministry’s undersecretary for investment promotion, said the platform gives investors a single point of contact from first inquiry through negotiation, implementation and expansion.
