Oman Exports are gaining international recognition as the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion increases its efforts to expand trade. The ministry, through its Export Development Department, intensified its drive to showcase Omani products across global markets. This momentum reflects Oman’s strategy to diversify its economy and strengthen trade partnerships.
The campaign included five specialised exhibitions organised under the Omani Products Promotion Committee. This committee brings together the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Madayn, and the SME Development Authority. By hosting business meetings, arranging promotional campaigns, and inviting global importers, the initiative positioned Oman Exports more competitively in international markets.
At the Baghdad International Fair, 30 Omani companies joined the exhibition. Nearly 70 percent signed new distribution contracts, while 67 percent secured fresh export orders. Participation in Gulfood Dubai also proved successful, where 75 percent of firms confirmed deals and 91 percent entered negotiations. Later, the Saudi Food Show in Riyadh featured 14 Omani companies, further aligning with Oman Vision 2040 and Saudi Vision 2030. Locally, Horeca Oman highlighted opportunities in food and hospitality sectors. Finally, Oman was honoured as Guest of Honour at the Algiers International Fair, where over 60 institutions participated in a pavilion covering 900 square meters.
Oman Exports also delivered tangible growth in trade figures. Non-oil exports rose 7.2 percent in the second quarter, reaching OMR 2.701 billion. The UAE led the list of importers with a 22.9 percent increase, totaling OMR 485 million. Saudi Arabia followed with OMR 451 million, showing growth of 34.9 percent. India also saw a strong rise at 38.9 percent, while South Korea and the United States demonstrated steady demand for Omani goods.
Officials stressed that these outcomes represent the effectiveness of export support mechanisms. Measures include international promotional campaigns, simplified procedures, and enhanced trade agreements. As a result, Oman Exports continue to expand both reach and competitiveness.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the “Made in Oman” brand. It aims to further diversify the production base and encourage greater SME participation in exports. This vision aligns directly with Oman Vision 2040, which emphasizes economic diversification and international trade expansion. With sustained government support, Oman Exports are positioned to grow as a leading pillar of national development.
