Qatar Proptech Summit Drives Market Growth

Qatar hosted its first-ever PF Agent Ignite summit, gathering over 650 industry experts to explore proptech opportunities. The event highlighted how proptech is transforming the real estate sector and supporting Qatar National Vision 2030. Attendees included government officials, industry leaders, and key players from Property Finder and fam Properties.

Khalid bin Ahmad Al Obaidli, President of Qatar’s Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat), emphasized Qatar’s commitment to empowering firms in both real estate and proptech markets. He noted that accurate data and digital platforms help brokers, agents, and investors make informed decisions.

Al Obaidli also shared that Qatar’s property sector contributed 7.4 percent to national GDP and achieved an annual average of $13.44 billion. He added that the market has expanded nearly 20 percent since 2022 and continues to gain momentum.

Firas Al Msaddi, CEO of fam Properties, delivered the keynote address, highlighting Doha’s strong growth potential. He stated that Qatar’s real estate and proptech markets show remarkable engagement and a clear appetite for progress. Al Msaddi noted that the country is steadily moving toward a mature, high-performing property market.

The summit included a panel discussion titled ‘Why it’s an amazing time to be a real estate agent’. Panelists addressed earning potential, trust and transparency, the role of agents as market ambassadors, and collaboration to drive sector growth. They also discussed evolving consumer expectations, upcoming regulatory developments, and opportunities from Qatar’s economic diversification.

Delegates exchanged strategies and explored partnerships to meet the needs of a sophisticated market. Networking sessions provided opportunities to form collaborations and share best practices. Experts emphasized that proptech plays a central role in connecting brokers, agents, and clients while improving efficiency across the sector.
