Saudi Build and Saudi Elenex Trade Shows in Riyadh Postponed to November 2027

Riyadh Exhibitions Company has postponed Saudi Build and Saudi Elenex, two of Saudi Arabia’s main construction and energy trade shows, by a year, citing ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

The 36th edition of Saudi Build and the 27th edition of Saudi Elenex had been scheduled to run from November 2 to 5 in Riyadh. They will now take place from November 1 to 4, 2027, the organizer said, TradeArabia reported on October 18.

“This decision was made for the safety, comfort and well-being of our valued stakeholders as our highest priority, and allowing additional time to facilitate international participation, partnerships, and successful trade collaborations,” the company said in a statement.

The websites of both events now list the 2027 dates at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Saudi Build covers building materials, construction technology, smart buildings, machinery and infrastructure. Saudi Elenex covers electricity, renewable energy, lighting, air conditioning and refrigeration, and electromechanical systems.

The Saudi Build website cites 420 exhibitors, 25,230 visitors and participation from 22 countries. The Saudi Elenex website cites more than 160 exhibitors from more than 14 countries.

The postponement follows a series of Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport reopened on Sunday after a closure, but airlines including Etihad Airways, flydubai and Qatar Airways have kept flights to the Saudi capital suspended, The National reported.
