The office will be based at the Dubai AI Campus, a DIFC hub for artificial intelligence companies that is part of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, according to the company.

Scale AI, founded in 2016, is valued at $29 billion and has more than 1,000 employees, The National reported.

Its clients include Meta, Cisco, Nvidia, OpenAI and Microsoft, as well as the US Air Force and US Army.

“Making our home at DIFC is a long-term commitment,” said Trevor Thompson, global managing director at Scale AI. “We are here to help UAE institutions build AI they can trust and use for their most critical use cases and important decisions.”

The expansion follows a memorandum of understanding Scale AI signed with Abu Dhabi-based Presight on Oct. 8 to explore agentic AI applications for government and corporate customers in the UAE, Aletihad reported.

The company said it supports national AI programs in the Gulf, including training initiatives that have helped about 6,000 people gain AI skills.
