SICO, the Bahrain-based asset manager, broker and investment bank, said on Sunday that institutional and individual investors had awarded it about $1.6 billion in new business during 2026.
The company made the announcement at the Gateway Gulf 2026 investment forum in Manama, according to a statement.

The total is the combined value of new mandates across SICO’s asset management, wealth management and investment banking businesses, the company said.
About $1.4 billion came as new inflows and investments into public and private funds and portfolios that SICO manages. Transactions and mandates across public and private markets and alternative investment products accounted for more than $200 million.
Most of the new business is in public markets, with the rest in private markets, the statement said. SICO did not give a breakdown by client type or country.
Najla Al Shirawi, SICO’s Group Chief Executive Officer, said the mandates reflected investors’ confidence in the bank’s capabilities and its client relationships across the region.
SICO has $8.9 billion in assets under management, according to the statement. It holds a wholesale banking license from the Central Bank of Bahrain and owns SICO Invest, a brokerage in Abu Dhabi, and SICO Capital in Saudi Arabia.
The two-day Gateway Gulf forum opened on Sunday. Bahrain’s finance minister said more than 110 announcements worth over $20 billion would be made during the event.
