UAE Ministry of Investment Launches Platform to Steer Foreign Investors to Six Priority Sectors

The UAE Ministry of Investment has launched an online Investment Opportunities platform that gives foreign investors a single point of access to curated projects in six priority sectors, the ministry said on Thursday.

The sectors are manufacturing, transport and logistics, healthcare and life sciences, renewable energy, information and communications technology, and financial services.

Each sector opens with a flagship opportunity. They include components manufacturing, a decarbonization retrofit cluster in transport and logistics, and bioprocess inputs manufacturing in healthcare.

The others are low- and medium-voltage switchgear manufacturing in renewable energy, government technology platforms in communications technology, and instant payments services in financial services.

The platform also carries profiles of all seven emirates and offers investors a single point of contact with ministry advisers.

The portal lists 143 opportunities and shows target internal rates of return for some projects, including 31% to 36% for the featured components manufacturing project, Economy Middle East reported.

The UAE attracted $48.3 billion (AED177.3 billion) of inward foreign direct investment in 2025, a fourth consecutive record year, the ministry said. It ranked ninth globally in UNCTAD’s World Investment Report 2026.

The National Investment Strategy 2031 aims to raise annual FDI inflows to $65 billion (AED240 billion) and total FDI stock to $600 billion (AED2.2 trillion) by 2031.

“As we advance the National Investment Strategy 2031, our focus is on channelling global capital into priority sectors that strengthen national capabilities, advance economic diversification and support the UAE’s long-term competitiveness,” said Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, UAE Minister of Investment.

The platform is available at opportunities.invest.gov.ae.
