Saudi Arabia’s new airline, Riyadh Air, has opened bookings for its daily service between Dubai and Riyadh. The new route will begin operations on June 18 and will strengthen travel connections between the Gulf region’s two largest economies.
The airline will operate the service between Dubai International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The launch forms part of Riyadh Air’s broader strategy to position Riyadh as a major regional and international aviation hub.
Flights from Dubai will operate daily under flight number RX0244. The service will depart Dubai at 6:30 pm and arrive in Riyadh at 7:20 pm local time. Meanwhile, the return flight, RX0243, will leave Riyadh at 2:05 pm and land in Dubai at 5:00 pm.
Passengers can purchase tickets through the airline’s website, mobile application, and authorized travel agencies. The carrier expects the route to attract both business and leisure travelers seeking convenient travel options between the two cities.
Furthermore, Riyadh Air said the Dubai route will provide passengers with onward connections through Riyadh to several international destinations. These include London, Manchester, and future routes planned across Asia as the airline continues expanding its network.
Chief Executive Officer Tony Douglas described the launch as an important step in the airline’s growth strategy. He said the service supports Riyadh Air’s goal of connecting Riyadh with major cities around the world while strengthening Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector.
In addition, Douglas noted that Dubai represents a key market for both business travel and international connections. Therefore, the route aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives, which aim to diversify the economy and expand the tourism and transport sectors.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners will feature four cabin classes. Business Elite and Business Class passengers will enjoy flat-bed seats arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration. Meanwhile, Premium Economy will offer a 2-3-2 layout, while Economy Class will feature a 3-3-3 seating arrangement.
The airline emphasized that flight schedules may change because of operational, regulatory, or safety requirements. As a result, passengers should check the airline’s official channels before traveling.
