Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) plans to tender contracts in 2027 for an offshore sour gas development, an export gas pipeline and enhanced oil recovery projects, a senior executive told suppliers on Sunday.
Adel Al Yafei, ADNOC’s senior vice president for group commercial operations and execution, set out the pipeline at the second Make it with ADNOC Forum in Abu Dhabi, The National reported. “The demand is real, and the timeline is set,” he said.

ADNOC has awarded 10 major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects so far in 2026, Al Yafei said. It has also awarded more than 8,000 requisitions, contracts and purchase requests to more than 1,500 suppliers.
The offshore sour gas development includes wellhead towers and pipelines, according to presentation slides cited by The National. The export gas pipeline project involves new wells and an offshore cluster to expand capacity.
The enhanced oil recovery project will use alternating injections of carbon dioxide and water to raise production.
Downstream projects due for tender in 2027 include refinery residue upgrading and additional export berths for natural gas liquids and sulfur.
For 2028, ADNOC outlined onshore and offshore oilfield developments, an integrated onshore gas project, gas storage, and digitalization and infrastructure upgrades. The company did not disclose project values.
Planned drilling and upstream service tenders for 2027 and 2028 include downhole completion, drilling fluids and cementing, Gulf News reported. Operations contracts cover turnaround inspection and maintenance of compressors, turbines and pumps.
ADNOC aims to cut its tender cycle times by 40% without reducing the time suppliers have to prepare bids, Al Yafei said.
For EPC tenders, ADNOC will negotiate only with the most competitive bidder if that offer meets its benchmark. Unit-rate contracts will be negotiated against market median prices rather than outlier rates.
The company has doubled its EPC contracting principles to 20 from 10, Al Yafei said.
ADNOC is seeking to raise its oil production capacity to 5 million barrels a day by 2027 from 4.85 million barrels a day.
