Crude oil production in the six Gulf Cooperation Council states rose 5% to 16.9 million barrels per day in 2025, from 16.1 million barrels per day in 2024, the Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC-Stat) said in its weekly bulletin, Maaal reported on Sunday.
The 2025 output was equal to about 22.5% of global crude production.

Gulf crude exports rose 6.1% to 12.2 million barrels per day in 2025. That was 27.3% of total world crude exports.
Regional output stood at 16 million barrels per day in 2021 and peaked at 18.2 million in 2022. It fell to 17 million in 2023 and to 16.1 million in 2024.
Average annual growth in GCC crude production was 3.1% between 2021 and 2025, the bulletin said.
Natural gas production in the six states reached 460.9 billion cubic meters in 2025, about 10.6% of world output. Gas production grew at an average annual rate of 2% from 2021 to 2025.
The bulletin also listed national targets for the share of renewables in each country’s energy mix. Saudi Arabia aims for 50% by 2030 and the UAE for 35% by 2031.
Kuwait and Oman each target 30% by 2030. Bahrain aims for 20% by 2035 and Qatar for 18% by 2030.
The figures cover 2025 and predate this year’s disruption to tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
