Sela, an events company owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), has signed a 10-year agreement with Tahaluf to host the Red Sea Yacht Show in Jeddah, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.

The first edition will run from October 14 to 17, 2027, at Jeddah Yacht Club. It targets an economic impact of more than $500 million from yacht sales, charters and luxury tourism.

The show is designed to extend the Monaco Yacht Show brand to Saudi Arabia. Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, deputy governor of the Makkah region, attended the signing on October 25.

Organizers aim to attract more than 50 yachts, 150 exhibitors and over 10,000 visitors to the first edition.

They expect the economic impact to rise to $800 million in the second edition and $1.2 billion in the third.

The number of luxury yachts is planned to exceed 70 in the second edition and 90 in the third. Visitor numbers are projected at 20,000 and 40,000, and participating brands at about 200 and 300.

The show will highlight $22.4 billion of Saudi marine investments and Red Sea developments including Sindalah and AMAALA.

Rakan Al-Harthy, managing director of Sela, said the agreement aims to make the Red Sea coast a permanent destination for the yachting industry and marine tourism.

Mike Champion, chief executive of Tahaluf, said the company would use its global network to bring in companies, brands and investors in marine tourism.

Jeddah Yacht Club and Marina has 94 berths that can take yachts up to 120 meters long.
