ENOC Renews Aviation Fuel Safety Agreement With Indonesia’s Pertamina Patra Niaga for Three More Years

Dubai state-owned energy company ENOC Group has renewed its aviation technical services agreement with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, the commercial and trading arm of Indonesia’s state energy company Pertamina, for another three years.

Under the renewed deal, ENOC will continue to carry out annual inspections of aviation fuel facilities against Joint Inspection Group standards, and provide technical guidance, operational support, training and advisory services on fuel handling, safety and quality management, ENOC said in a statement on Tuesday.

During the initial three-year agreement signed in 2023, ENOC conducted 18 inspections against Joint Inspection Group standards at Indonesian airport facilities, including two accompanied inspections to help qualify Pertamina’s own inspectors, according to the statement.

Six Pertamina employees took part in ENOC’s annual quality control and operations training courses under the first agreement, and compliance improved notably at three of the five facilities assessed, the company said.

The renewed agreement will focus on developing Pertamina’s in-house inspection capabilities and technical expertise. The two companies’ relationship dates back to 2009.

Hussain Sultan Lootah, group chief executive of ENOC, said the progress under the initial agreement showed how knowledge transfer and capability development could improve aviation fuel operations.

Yosep Iswadi, vice president of aviation fuel business at Pertamina Patra Niaga, said continuing the cooperation was important to maintaining jet fuel quality and services that meet global aviation industry standards.
