Snowflake, the US cloud data and artificial intelligence company, projects it will invest $300 million, or about SR1.125 billion, in Saudi Arabia through 2030, the company said on Tuesday.
The New York-listed company also formally opened its regional headquarters for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa in Riyadh. It said the regional headquarters was established in 2024.

The investment will fund hiring, its regional partner network, AI skills training and more cloud infrastructure. Snowflake said it will work with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on the program.
Snowflake plans to launch two more cloud regions in Saudi Arabia in the second half of 2026, adding to its Google Cloud region in Dammam. The company said the expansion would help customers meet data residency requirements.
With the ministry, Snowflake will train up to 25,000 people in data and AI skills by 2030 through the One Million Minds program.
“Our projected $300 million investment reflects Snowflake’s confidence in Saudi Arabia and its digital future,” said Michel Nader, Snowflake’s regional vice president for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
The company said its Saudi customers include Red Sea Global, Almarai, Zahid Group and Foodics. Snowflake described the $300 million as a projected figure.
