Apple has accredited Coders HQ, a UAE national initiative for the programming community, as an authorized education training center, the UAE Artificial Intelligence Office said on Thursday.
The accreditation adds Coders HQ to Apple’s global network of accredited education institutions. It gives the initiative access to learning resources and training programs for app development in Apple’s Swift programming language.

Coders HQ will offer app development training supported by Apple’s Develop in Swift resources, the office said in a statement published by Zawya. Participants will design, develop and test applications.
The announcement coincided with UAE Codes Day on October 29.
“A competitive digital economy begins with people who have the skills to embrace emerging technologies and the ability to translate knowledge into solutions that make a meaningful difference in society,” said Dr. Abdelrahman Al Mahmoud, Director of Department at the UAE Artificial Intelligence Office.
Background
Coders HQ was launched in January 2022 under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
It was set up in partnership with more than 40 companies, including ADNOC, Majid Al Futtaim Holding, Microsoft, Meta Platforms, IBM and Dell Technologies, The National reported.
The accreditation also opens professional development opportunities for trainers and knowledge exchange with education institutions worldwide, the office said.
