Dubai Gold Prices Drop Dh4 Per Gram as Markets Watch US-Iran Developments

Dubai gold prices declined on Tuesday as lower demand for safe-haven assets weighed on the market. Investors also monitored inflation trends and upcoming US monetary policy decisions.

The price of 24K gold in Dubai dropped by Dh4 per gram. It traded at Dh487 per gram after closing at Dh491 on Monday. Meanwhile, 22K gold reached Dh451 per gram. The 21K variety traded at Dh432.25 per gram. In addition, 18K gold stood at Dh370.50, while 14K gold traded at Dh289 per gram.

Global bullion prices also moved lower during early trading. Spot gold fell to around $4,041 per ounce, marking a decline of 0.82 percent. At the same time, silver lost about 2.17 percent and traded near $57.13 per ounce.

Market sentiment improved after signs of reduced military tensions between the United States and Iran. As a result, investors reduced their demand for gold, which often benefits during periods of uncertainty.

However, analysts noted that inflation remains an important concern for financial markets. Rising price pressures continue to influence expectations for future interest rate decisions. Therefore, many investors remain cautious despite improving geopolitical conditions.

According to market analysts, inflation worries continue to outweigh short-term optimism. Higher inflation could encourage central banks to keep borrowing costs elevated. Consequently, gold prices may remain under pressure in the coming months.

Investors now await the next Federal Open Market Committee meeting. The outcome could provide fresh guidance on future interest rate policy. Any signals from policymakers may significantly influence precious metal markets.

Higher energy costs also remain a concern. Recent regional tensions pushed energy prices upward, increasing fears that inflation could stay above target levels. This development could affect future monetary policy decisions.

Current market expectations suggest policymakers may keep interest rates unchanged during the upcoming meeting. Even so, investors still expect the possibility of another rate increase before the end of the year. Those expectations continue to limit stronger gains in gold prices.

Dubai gold prices also reflect movements in the international bullion market. Local retailers usually adjust prices in line with global trading, exchange rates, and overall investor sentiment.

Technical indicators show gold has traded within a relatively narrow range over recent weeks. Analysts believe the market needs a clear breakout before establishing a stronger trend.

If prices climb above key resistance levels, buying momentum could strengthen. On the other hand, failure to move higher may encourage another test of recent support levels.

Many traders will closely monitor economic data over the coming days. Inflation reports, employment figures, and central bank statements could shape market direction. Furthermore, any unexpected geopolitical developments may quickly influence investor confidence.

Dubai gold prices remain sensitive to both economic and political events. Therefore, buyers and investors continue watching global markets before making new purchasing decisions. As uncertainty over inflation and interest rates continues, gold may experience further price swings in the weeks ahead.
