Mosadad, an Emirati-founded insurance technology startup building a shared system for settling motor insurance claims between insurers, has been selected for Hub71’s 19th cohort, the Abu Dhabi technology hub said on October 29. The company has raised $540,000 (AED2 million) in pre-seed funding, according to Hub71’s announcement.
Mosadad is one of 40 companies chosen for the cohort from a record 2,502 applications, and Hub71 highlighted it by name in its announcement. Of the startups selected, 88% are joining from international markets.

What the company does
When a motor accident involves cars covered by different insurers, the insurer that pays its customer’s claim often has to recover the money from the other driver’s insurer. Mosadad says on its website that these recoveries run on fragmented, bilateral processes, with manual follow-ups and disconnected transfers that lead to long settlement cycles.
Its platform is designed as a common settlement layer for the market. Insurers are connected through virtual wallets linked to banking rails and use shared workflows for recoveries and disputes, according to the company. Mosadad says it does not decide liability and does not replace insurers’ core claims systems. Hub71 described it as a system that connects insurers, traffic authorities, regulators and garages to settle motor claims in days instead of months.
The founders
The company is led by founding chief executive Abdulla Khaled Abdulla, who is also a director of KAYinvest Group, a real estate, hospitality and investment business, according to Mosadad’s website. The website lists Ahmed Al Sayyah as chairman, with more than 15 years of experience in government relations, regulatory engagement and policy advisory. Mosadad’s LinkedIn page says the company was founded in 2025 and is headquartered in Ras Al Khaimah. Its website also lists offices in Abu Dhabi and India.
Funding and investors
Mosadad has not publicly named the investors in its $540,000 pre-seed round or said when the round closed. As part of the Hub71 cohort, it joins a 12-month program that offers up to AED500,000 in incentives, along with mentorship and access to investors and corporate and government partners, Hub71 said. The selected startups have raised a combined $296 million between them.
Traction and market
Mosadad’s most visible traction so far has come through the regulator. In a LinkedIn post on September 16, the company said it had launched the first phase of a pilot within the Central Bank of the UAE’s technical sandbox, with 12 insurance companies taking part under the oversight of the Emirates Institute of Finance’s Innovation Hub. Participants named in the post included ADNIC International, Al Ain Ahlia Insurance, GIG Gulf, Liva Insurance, Watania Takaful, Dubai Insurance and Dubai National Insurance.
The Innovation Hub, set up in 2024 with the support of the central bank, presented Mosadad to insurers and financial experts at a session in Dubai in July. The company’s website says the platform has been piloted with 28 insurance companies and lists the central bank sandbox, RAKBank and Hub71 among its partnerships. It has not disclosed revenue or the value of claims processed on the platform.
What’s next
Mosadad says on its website that it aims to become shared infrastructure for insurance coordination across Gulf markets and describes the platform as ready for expansion in the region. The company said the insurers in the sandbox pilot would help shape the platform through their feedback.
