Qatar Boosts Digital Finance Through Trade and Treasury Summit

Qatar’s digital finance sector moves forward with strong support as Qatar Development Bank joins the Trade and Treasury Transformation Summit 2025. The summit, organized by Qatar Chamber and ICC Qatar, aims to accelerate digital banking, trade finance innovation, and payment solutions. The summit will take place at the InterContinental Doha Hotel under the patronage of the Minister of Commerce and Industry. Furthermore, Qatar Chamber announced that the summit will focus on accelerating digital banking, trade finance innovation, and payment solutions.

Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber, Ali Bu Sharbak Al Mansori, praised QDB’s involvement. In fact, he emphasized that the summit strengthens Qatar’s financial and commercial sectors through innovation.

Moreover, Al Mansori noted that Qatar’s digital finance sector stands to benefit greatly from this partnership. He stressed that digital transformation would improve financial efficiency and open new opportunities for growth.

Additionally, Khalid Abdulla Al Mana, Vice President of Enterprise Development at QDB, highlighted how the summit fits QDB’s larger goals. He explained that Qatar’s digital finance sector is a key driver for national economic growth.

Al Mana also pointed to QDB’s initiatives like the Qatar FinTech Hub (QFTH) as examples of innovation. Therefore, he said the summit will showcase how collaboration can push the limits of trade finance and payment solutions.

In addition, Al Mana reaffirmed QDB’s dedication to working with national partners. He mentioned that Qatar’s digital finance sector must align with Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.
