Aldar Properties, Abu Dhabi’s largest listed developer, said net profit attributable to shareholders rose 25% from a year earlier to AED1.9 billion ($517.3 million) in the third quarter of 2026.

Revenue and rental income increased 16.4% to AED9.3 billion in the three months to September 30, the company said in a filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange on Tuesday, according to The National.

Net profit after tax for the quarter rose 21% to AED2.3 billion, while nine-month net profit after tax climbed 19% to AED7.1 billion, Aldar said in its results statement. Nine-month revenue rose 11% to AED26.2 billion and earnings per share increased 20% to AED0.77.

Group development sales fell 34% to AED6.8 billion in the third quarter and to AED18.9 billion for the nine months. UAE sales totaled AED14.4 billion over the nine months, with overseas and expatriate resident buyers accounting for AED11.3 billion, or 78%.

The group’s development revenue backlog stood at AED71.6 billion at the end of September, including AED59.3 billion in the UAE. Aldar Investment’s assets under management rose to AED57 billion.

“With AED 71.6 billion in development revenue backlog and AED 57 billion in assets under management, we have established a platform with substantial visibility over future earnings,” Aldar Chairman Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak said.

This month, Aldar agreed to buy more than 1,100 homes at Arada’s Aljada development in Sharjah for AED1.1 billion, its first real estate investment in the emirate, with delivery scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2029. In September, the two companies announced a partnership that Aldar said creates AED11 billion in development opportunities for their joint venture in Seih Al Sedeirah.

Mubadala Investment Company raised its holding in Aldar to 28.03% of the issued share capital in August, from 27.01%, The National reported.
