The latest figures underline the importance of Qatar’s maritime sector in supporting trade, logistics, and economic growth.
Qatar’s ports benefit from a strategic location and an expanding global shipping network. As a result, they provide efficient cargo movement and transshipment services for regional and international markets.
Moreover, the country’s port infrastructure facilitates secure and seamless trade flows. These capabilities improve customer experience and create additional opportunities for commercial growth.
Mwani Qatar continues to play an important role in the country’s economic diversification efforts. The organization supports the development of non-oil sectors while strengthening Qatar’s position within global supply chains.
In recent years, Mwani Qatar has focused on improving operational efficiency through digital transformation and innovation. These efforts align with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The company has also increased Hamad Port’s share of regional trade. Consequently, Qatar continues advancing its goal of becoming a leading commercial and logistics center in the Middle East.
Furthermore, world-class port services attract international shipping lines and support businesses operating across various sectors.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport recently expanded its digital transformation initiatives. The ministry completed the automation of 14 additional maritime transportation services.
