The number of new economic licenses issued in Ras Al Khaimah rose 33.5% in the third quarter of 2026 compared with the second quarter, the emirate’s Department of Economic Development said.
License cancellations fell 15.9% from the previous quarter, which lifted the net number of licenses added during the period, according to figures carried by the Emirates News Agency (WAM) and Al Bayan.

Ras Al Khaimah had 22,447 active economic licenses at the end of September 2026, up 4.1% from a year earlier.
The registered capital of active licenses rose 12% year on year to about AED11.96 billion.
Capital grew faster than the number of licenses, which the department said pointed to a larger capital base for both existing and new businesses.
The department said it tracks license issuance, cancellations and registered capital to identify investment opportunities and the needs of different sectors and areas of the emirate.
