Snoonu, the Qatari delivery and commerce app, has expanded its operations in Oman to Muscat Governorate, the company said on Wednesday.
Muscat is the fifth Omani governorate Snoonu has entered within five months of launching in the sultanate, according to a company statement published by Gulf Times. It started in Nizwa and then moved into Sohar, Salalah and Sur.

The company said it works with more than 1,500 brands in Oman. It said its Omani operations have created about 1,000 direct and indirect jobs for Omani nationals.
Services in Muscat include food delivery from restaurants and cafes, grocery and retail shopping, pharmacy delivery, flowers and gifts, electronics, and Snoosend, its person-to-person delivery service. Snoonu said more services are planned.
Hamad Mubarak Al Hajri, founder and group chief executive of Snoonu, said Oman is an important market and that the company plans to keep investing there.
Said Saif Al Maskery, general manager of Snoonu Oman, said the company chose to begin in Nizwa before moving into the other governorates.
Snoonu, which is headquartered in Doha, announced the acquisition of US food-video startup BiteSight earlier in October.
