The US beauty retailer’s first stores in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain will follow in the coming months, also with Alshaya. Ulta Beauty has already opened in Kuwait and the UAE under the partnership.

702-square-meter flagship

The Doha Festival City store covers 702 square meters and carries more than 250 brands, including the locally founded Haneen Al Saify and Perfume Factory, the statement said.

It has a beauty bar and two private treatment rooms.

Ulta Beauty is the largest specialty beauty retailer in the United States. Alshaya, a family-owned group founded in Kuwait in 1890, operates more than 50 international brands under franchise.

“Opening our first store here highlights our commitment to delivering world-class retail experiences,” said John Hadden, chief executive officer of Alshaya Group.

Kecia Steelman, president and chief executive officer of Ulta Beauty, said the opening built on the company’s launches in Kuwait and the UAE.
