QNB Group will process digital payments for Qatar Airways’ e-commerce transactions under a global payments partnership between the two Qatari companies, according to a joint statement reported by The Peninsula on Monday.
The agreement was signed by Hamad Al-Khater, chief executive officer of Qatar Airways Group, and Abdulla Mubarak Al Khalifa, group chief executive officer of QNB Group.

The deal integrates QNB’s payment acceptance services with the airline’s digital sales channels across its global network, the statement said.
The two companies will also work together to improve transaction visibility and operational efficiency across those channels.
The statement did not disclose financial terms.
“Our partnership with QNB Group represents an important step in that journey, enabling us to further enhance the technology and financial infrastructure that underpins our operations,” Al-Khater said, referring to the airline’s digital transformation.
Al Khalifa said the bank continues to invest in next-generation acquiring capabilities, e-commerce infrastructure, payment technologies and payment security frameworks.
“This partnership reflects QNB’s continued focus on building globally connected financial capabilities rooted in Qatar,” he said.
Beyond payment processing, the agreement sets a framework for further collaboration in digital commerce, customer experience and emerging technologies, the statement said.
