Barwa’s Shaza Hotels Signs Deal With Omnia Properties for 125-Unit Mysk Branded Residences in Oman, Due in 2030

Shaza Hotels, a subsidiary of Qatar’s Barwa Real Estate Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Omnia Properties to bring the first Mysk-branded residences to Oman, the companies said on Friday.

The project, provisionally named Mysk Beach Residences, will have 125 serviced residences on the Gulf of Oman coast and is expected to open in 2030, according to a joint statement.

The companies did not disclose the project’s value or exact location. They said it would sit within reach of Muscat.

The agreement was signed at the Cityscape Qatar 2026 property exhibition in Doha by Simon Coombs, chief executive officer and president of Shaza Hotels, and Ali Mohamed Al Lawati, chairman of Omnia Properties.

The development will have more than 200 meters of beach frontage and will offer one- and two-bedroom apartments with hotel-style services, the statement said.

Planned facilities include a resort pool, a restaurant, a fitness center and retail space. The project will be alcohol-free.

Shaza Hotels already operates Mysk Al Mouj Muscat and the Mysk Muttrah Collection in Oman.

Barwa Real Estate is listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange. Qatari Diar, a unit of the Qatar Investment Authority, holds a 45% stake in the company, according to the statement.

“This partnership reflects our confidence in Oman’s growing appeal as a destination for tourism, lifestyle and real estate investment,” Al Lawati said.
