Kuwait’s KUFPEC Strengthens Energy Partnership with Pakistan Through New Investment Plans

KUFPEC Pakistan continues strengthening energy cooperation as the company explores new investment opportunities in the country’s upstream petroleum sector. The latest discussions highlight growing collaboration between Kuwait and Pakistan. Furthermore, both sides aim to deepen their long-standing energy partnership.

Officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of Petroleum recently met with representatives from Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company, known as KUFPEC. The meeting focused on expanding cooperation across exploration and production activities while encouraging future investment.

Pakistan’s Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik welcomed the KUFPEC delegation during the discussions. He emphasized the strong relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait, which has continued for more than five decades through cooperation in the energy industry.

The minister also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting international investors. He said Pakistan remains focused on creating a stable and attractive business environment for energy companies seeking new opportunities.

KUFPEC Vice President of Operations Tareq Ebrahim expressed appreciation for the government’s continued support. He also highlighted the company’s interest in expanding its operations across Pakistan’s upstream petroleum sector.

Company representatives believe Pakistan offers significant potential for future exploration and production projects. As a result, KUFPEC continues evaluating opportunities that could strengthen its regional energy portfolio.

Government officials assured the company of continued cooperation throughout future investment discussions. They also pledged to support projects that encourage exploration, production, and long-term economic development.

KUFPEC Pakistan has already established an important presence in the country’s energy industry. The company continues participating in exploration and production activities alongside local partners.

In 2023, KUFPEC expanded its cooperation through strategic agreements with leading Pakistani energy companies. Those agreements created new opportunities for evaluating exploration projects and future investments.

One agreement strengthened cooperation with Oil and Gas Development Company Limited. Both companies agreed to jointly assess upstream business opportunities across Pakistan’s energy sector.

Another agreement brought KUFPEC together with Mari Petroleum Company Limited. The partnership focuses on evaluating exploration blocks and preparing future bids for promising energy projects.

These collaborations reflect the company’s long-term commitment to Pakistan’s petroleum industry. They also support efforts to increase exploration activity and improve energy production.

Pakistan continues encouraging foreign investment to strengthen domestic energy supplies. International partnerships remain important as the country works to expand production and reduce future energy challenges.

Meanwhile, Kuwait continues supporting overseas investment through KUFPEC’s international operations. The company maintains exploration and production activities across several global markets while pursuing additional growth opportunities.

Strong cooperation between Kuwait and Pakistan continues benefiting both countries. Energy partnerships have remained an important part of their broader economic relationship for decades.

Industry observers believe continued investment could support technology transfer, employment opportunities, and increased energy production. Successful exploration projects may also improve long-term energy security for Pakistan.
