Oman Summit Announces New Investment Projects Across Key Economic Sectors

Oman Investment Summit 2026 highlighted new projects across several industries as the country seeks to attract foreign capital. The Inspire Oman Investors Summit brought together business leaders, investors, and government representatives in Muscat on October 14. Companies announced plans covering oil waste processing, engineering, pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, and luxury development. These initiatives support Oman’s wider efforts to diversify its economy and strengthen private-sector participation.

Premium Global Group announced a $10 million investment in an oil waste processing facility. The company plans to establish the facility in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm. The project will focus on partial refining and processing of oil waste. Consequently, the investment could support industrial activity while creating opportunities for more efficient waste management.

Meanwhile, Hotpack and Sea Pride signed a memorandum of understanding covering the packaging sector. Their agreement signals plans to explore cooperation and potential business opportunities. In addition, E M Badr El-Din & Co announced an engineering and manufacturing facility. These developments demonstrate growing interest in expanding Oman’s industrial capabilities.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing also featured among the summit’s investment announcements. Avenzo Pharma announced plans for pharmaceutical manufacturing in Khazaen Economic City. Furthermore, Al Fardan introduced its Bianca Luxury project in the same economic zone. Together, these announcements reflect interest across manufacturing, healthcare-related industries, and premium development.

The summit operated under the theme “Where Vision Meets Investment.” It aimed to connect investors with opportunities across Oman’s economy. Sayyid Mohammed bin Salim Al Said hosted the event under his auspices. Shaikh Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also attended.

Al Rawas highlighted Oman’s strategic location along major international trade routes. The country offers access to markets across the Gulf, Asia, and Africa. Moreover, investments in ports, industrial cities, and economic zones strengthen its business appeal. These advantages can help companies connect production activities with regional and international customers.

He also emphasized reforms designed to improve the investment environment. Oman continues to develop its legal and regulatory frameworks while simplifying business procedures. At the same time, expanded digital services aim to make business operations more efficient. These measures support the country’s economic diversification efforts and encourage greater private-sector involvement.

Oman Investment Summit discussions also emphasized opportunities for cooperation between Oman and India. India’s ambassador to Oman, Prashant Pise, highlighted the potential for companies from both countries. Businesses could establish joint ventures, combine expertise, and reach additional markets. He also pointed to the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Oman and India as an important development. The agreement aims to strengthen trade and investment ties between the two countries.

Abdul Latheef Moideen Kunhi, an Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry board member, highlighted Oman’s logistics advantages. He noted that transport networks and logistics services support production, trade, and exports. Additionally, economic and free zones can help businesses establish operations and serve overseas markets. These facilities may attract investment while increasing the value generated by domestic industries.

Shabeer K A, director of Lulu Hypermarket in Oman, encouraged established investors to introduce other businesses to the country. He stressed that opportunities exist across different sectors and business sizes. Therefore, stronger connections between existing investors and new entrants could help expand commercial activity.

The summit also examined emerging areas of economic opportunity. Panel discussions explored the circular economy, energy efficiency, fisheries, and entrepreneurial experiences. Participants considered how environmental solutions could become commercially viable businesses. Other sessions examined artificial intelligence and innovation. Speakers discussed how technology could improve operational efficiency, strengthen competitiveness, and create new growth opportunities.

Overall, Oman Investment Summit announcements highlighted the country’s broad investment ambitions. Projects across industrial production, pharmaceuticals, packaging, and luxury development show interest in diverse economic sectors. Meanwhile, discussions on technology, sustainability, and international partnerships identified further opportunities. Oman’s continued investment in infrastructure and business reforms could help attract more companies and support long-term economic growth.
